Trusted roofing company in Austin, TX. Family-owned, based at 8101 Cameron Road, and working the same storms as the homes we inspect.

The Costliest Hail Day in Travis County Landed on Our Own Street

On 24 September 2023 the National Weather Service logged 3.00-inch hail at Fiskville at 20:55 — the north-central Austin area where our office sits on Cameron Road. That single entry carries the largest property damage estimate in Travis County’s recent hail record.

The same evening put 2.25-inch stones at Camp Mabry at 20:50, and a run of two-inch and two-and-a-half-inch reports across Austin that did not stop until 21:44. We were not reading about that storm afterwards. We were under it. The roofs struck that night are a large share of the ones failing now.

Austin Is Four Different Roofing Towns

No other city we serve has this spread. Nineteen-twenties and thirties bungalows in Hyde Park and Travis Heights, many still on original board decking. Post-war ranches through central Austin. Nineties and two-thousands tract construction on the edges. And a decade of new build layered on top of all of it.

Hail does not care about any of that, but the right answer does. A ninety-year-old roof deck and a four-year-old architectural shingle fail differently, get repaired differently and settle differently. A company that gives every Austin address the same answer has not looked properly.

What We Do on an Insurance Claim, and What We Do Not

Worth stating plainly, because the industry is vague about it. We inspect the roof, photograph each slope as its own record, measure, and put a written estimate in your hands. If your insurer sends an adjuster out, we can be on the roof with them to talk through measurements, observed damage and construction detail.

We are not public adjusters. We do not negotiate settlements, file claims on your behalf, interpret your coverage, promise approval, or discount deductibles. Anyone offering to do those things is describing either a licensed public adjusting service or something you should walk away from.

Getting a Documented Look

Inspections are free and documented. You get the photographs, the measurements and a written estimate whether you file a claim, pay out of pocket, or decide the roof has life left in it and do nothing at all. Where the damage is limited we will say so and show you the pictures that support it.

Start with a roof inspection. If the findings are isolated, review your roof repair options; if age or widespread damage makes repairs impractical, compare the roof replacement process.

We do not negotiate insurance settlements, file claims on behalf of homeowners, interpret policy coverage, promise claim approval, or waive, absorb or discount deductibles. Our role is roofing expertise: documented inspections, photographs, measurements, written estimates and quality workmanship.
